This recipe was inspired by a holiday to Dubai. I'd had iced tea before, but it is so often packed with sugar. The hotel's version not only used Earl Grey, which is light and refreshing, but also only used fruit to sweeten it. This is my take on that recipe – I hope you enjoy it. 


  • 4 Earl Grey tea bags 
  • 1 litre boiling water 
  • 1.5 litres cold water 
  • 1 x 213g can peach slices, in fruit juice 
  • Ice cubes

Time: 10 minutes to prepare, plus cooling

  1. Place the tea bags in a large glass bowl or jug and pour the boiling water over them.
  2. Leave to brew for 2–3 minutes, then add the cold water before removing the tea bags.
  3. Allow to cool completely – if time permits, chill in the fridge. 
  4. Pour the peach slices and juice into a bowl and blend until smooth.
  5. Add the peach to the cooled tea and mix, before pouring into glasses filled with ice cubes.
