Clair O’Hanlon

Single mother Clair ran the London Marathon in 2014 for World Cancer Research Fund UK after losing both her parents to cancer in the space of two years.

There are no words to describe how it feels to lose both parents to this disease. It is so overwhelming and I miss them both so much.

I know so many other people affected by different types of cancer, so I wanted to help an organisation that funds research into prevention – that’s when I found out about World Cancer Research Fund UK.

This is a charity that does so much to help people reduce their cancer risk, and I am so pleased that I have been able to help support it and raise awareness about these important messages.
